Tamara Paczos, MD
Dr. Paczos is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at The University of Rochester Medical Center where she serves as the Director of the Regional Laboratory Division, the Laboratory Medical Director of URMC’s Central Laboratory and the Medical Director for the Maternal Serum Screening Program. She completed her residency in combined anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Paczos also completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Rochester Medical Center and went on to obtain a Master’s of Science in Business Administration at the University Of Rochester Simon School Of Business.
Dr. Paczos is active in laboratory administration in the department where she sits on the Chairs Cabinet, is a member of the Clinical Enterprise Group, and Chairs the Regional Laboratory Task Force. She is also actively involved in the residency program where she is the co-course director of the Laboratory Management Rotation, directs an elective in Regional Pathology and serves as a mentor to multiple residents. Her areas of interest are laboratory administration, gynecologic pathology and general clinical pathology.
